Kinetica — One-Click Motion Graphics Add-on for Blender
Kinetica — One-Click Motion Graphics Add-on for Blender

Installation — step by step

  1. Download the add-on as a .zip file from Gumroad — do not unzip it.
  2. Open Blender and go to Edit ▸ Preferences ▸ Add-ons.
  3. Click Install and pick the .zip file. (Blender 4.2+: click the ▾ arrow at the top, then Install from Disk.)
  4. Tick the checkbox next to the add-on name in the list.
  5. Back in the 3D viewport press N to open the sidebar — you'll find the Kinetica tab.
Works with Blender 3.0 and up (3.x, 4.x, 5.x) — including the Slotted Actions system in 4.4+.

How to use

  1. Select your object and put the playhead on the frame where the effect should start.
  2. Click Fade In — the add-on wires the shader for every material on the object and adds the keyframes for you, no Shader Editor needed.
  3. Move the playhead forward and click Fade Out to end the fade.
  4. Duration sets the length of the animation in frames; Stack Effects lets you layer several animations without one cancelling another.
  5. If the transparency looks noisy, toggle Transparent Shadows and Transparency Overlap in the same panel.
  6. In the Scale section try the ready-made presets: Pop In, Pop Out, Bounce In, Squash, Drop & Roll and Zoom Punch.
  7. In Rotation pick the axis and the number of turns then click Rotate — or use Continuous Loops (Spin, Float, Pulse) for motion that never stops.
  8. Delete Everything wipes what the add-on created and returns the scene to zero.
